Objectives:Upon completion of this course, operating personnel will be able to:
- Identify and define the basic parts of a residential gas distribution system, including gas meters and regulators.
- Identify a proper location to install meters and regulators based on appropriate guidelines.
- List some devices that can protect the residential gas system from pressure damage.
- Determine proper meter and regulator size based on the load.
- Explain how to properly install a meter set and adjust the regulator's set point to the correct operating pressure.
- Discuss how to test the gas system for leaks.
- Discuss service wrap-up procedures.
