Objectives:

Upon completion of this module, the learner will be able to:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of valve operations and perform basic valve operator maintenance in accordance with the original equipment manufacturers procedures.
2. Identify and explain the operation/application of the following types of valve operators:
   • Rotary
   • Linear
   • Pneumatic
3. Demonstrate preventive maintenance for a valve operator.
4. Demonstrate basic operation of lubrication equipment.
5. Demonstrate safety precautions while performing valve operator maintenance.
