Objectives:

Upon completion of this course:

1. The learner will know the steps involved and factors to be considered during a planned shutdown.
2. The learner will know the steps involved in returning a shutdown section to operation and in starting up a new line.
3. The learner will know the basic procedures involved in planning for an emergency shutdown.
4. The learner will know how to prevent accidental ignition during startup and shutdown.
